FAQS
A century of excellence. Our story continues. Just a new name.
Over the past 17 years since “Hospice” was added to our name, we have grown our services to include palliative care, open the Pat Roche Hospice Home, and expand our service territory to 27 towns in our region. Our goal is for our brand to represent the scope of care we offer today and not limit ourselves as our service offerings continue to grow.
Croí (pronounced “CROY”) is inspired by the Gaelic word for "heart." As Croí Health, we will still be the same non-profit organization you have always known, dedicated to expanding patient care access while maintaining the clinical excellence our patients and community have come to expect from us.
No, this change isn’t due to an acquisition or merger. We’re still independently operated and focused on our mission and growth to serve as many patients as possible safely. The new name reflects both the heart of who we are today and where we are headed.
We’re still the same team, leadership, and values you know and trust on the South Shore. The only thing that’s changing is our name and look. Everything else — from our programs and quality standard of service to our commitment to you — remains the same.
We will continue to serve the same Massachusetts communities as an independent non-profit with the same level of care.
No, the Pat Roche Hospice Home will remain the same.
As of December 1, our website will be croihealth.org. Our team emails will also be updated to @croihealth.org.
