Bereavement

Bereavement Programs to Support You

Croí Health’s bereavement services provide the psychological, emotional, and spiritual care needed during life’s difficult transition after a loved one’s passing. Families and caregivers can trust us to deliver a continuum of care through a supportive bereavement program. Care can benefit those who’ve lost a loved one through hospice as well as community members grieving independently for 13 months after the loss.

Understanding Your Grief Support Group

“Understanding Your Grief” is a group that will meet for 5 sessions and is most appropriate for those within the first year of a significant loss. This group is based primarily on the work of Dr. Alan Wolfelt, author, educator, and grief counselor. Participation in this group will help you answer questions like:

“Am I going crazy?”

“Am I the only one who feels this way?”

“Will these feelings ever go away?”

This group will help normalize your experience of the pain of loss and bring meaning to the process of healing.

Dates: Meets weekly on Thursdays from June 18 – July 16, 2026

Time: 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This group is now full. Please contact Cynthia Stanton, Croí Health Bereavement Coordinator, at (781) 659-2342 x 311 if interested in a future offering of this group.

After Caregiving: Caring for Yourself

Exploring who you are after loss and rediscovering purpose

Who are you when caregiving ends?
When a loved one dies, the role of caregiving ends—but the emotional journey continues. This workshop offers a supportive space to reflect, heal, and begin shaping what comes next.

About the Workshop
This 90-minute gathering provides support, reflection, and practical resources for individuals adjusting to life after caregiving. Together, we will explore the transition to a new sense of self with compassion and understanding.

As grief educator Alan D. Wolfelt reminds us, learning to integrate a new reality—and accepting that life will be different—is essential to finding meaning again.
